MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MEETING ON 18th May
We concluded our look at file handling with a demonstration of creating and deleting folders (directories) and moving, copying and deleting files. We did this on a practice floppy disk in the A drive. I suggest you do the same. Once you're happy with that, you can then try the other technique we demonstrated, a simple copy of important date on the hard disk onto a floppy disk as a backup. If you don't know where your data is, Start - Find is your friend.
We briefly touched on ADSL Internet connections, as well as more discussion of the flaws in Outlook Express and the advisability of using something else. Therefore, next Saturday, at the "surgery", we'll take another look at Becky, and explain the basics of ADSL. Links for Becky can be found here
