On arrival at the centre and turning on the equipment, I discovered that our modem had been destroyed in the night, probably by a stray telephone line surge.  This limited what we could do, but for the last session of the year we found out why Terra and Telefonica subscribers were having such problems with their SMTP servers, and what we could do about it, involving a vistit to gonuts4free.  Don't forget we have special sessions on the five Saturdays in May, at which you will be very welcome.
