We discovered the world of image resizing and manipulation that we should have investigated last week, taking large images from a CD-ROM transferred directly from a camera, and reducing their size using the JPEG compression tool Ignite from http://www.ignite-it.co.uk/ which is now virtually Freeware. Unlike last week, all went well, and I think you all understood the point of the exercise - that an image can be compressed to a fraction of its original size and still only lose an insignificant amount of detail. |
