The sessions are intended for those who been attending the sessions during Autumn 2002.  New students are welcome, but a level of knowledge similar to that of existing students is assumed.

What are the aims of the sessions?

The aims of the sessions are to continue to debunk the myth that computers are difficult and not suitable for older people, and to give confidence in the use of modern technology.

What are the objectives of the sessions?

After attending a few sessions, you should have at least a basic knowledge of how the Internet works, and be able to send basic e-mails as well as using the World Wide Web.

Text Books and Hand-outs

We will continue to make use of "Catching up with Computers" by Moira Stephen, which will be reinforced by the use of hand-outs written by the tutor. These hand-outs will be made available for download before the lesson concerned.  Look for the latest notes at  http://cftb.net/downloads/books.html .

The notes will usually be in Adobe Acrobat format.
If you don't have the (Free) Adobe Acrobat reader, you can download it from the link below
